Recently I visited New York City's Central Park Zoo. As well as the zoo I also walked through a good portion of the park. I wondered how much money it took to maintain the upkeep of the park. When in conversation with a local New Yorker he told me there was a Conservancy that's been taking care of that since 1980. If it weren't for the Conservancy vandals would have gotten the best of the park years ago, as they were in the 1960's and 1970's.
